A list of the most frequently asked questions about the Visual e TM Suite of products is maintained in a  Question (Q) and Answer (A) format within this document.

Q:  What is the Visual e Internet Client?

A:  The Visual e Internet Client (VeIC) is a multipurpose tool which allows PC users to access their corporate MultiValued database over the Intranet or Internet.  The client performs standard terminal emulation and displays window programs developed by The Application Developer.

Q:  Can I perform screen captures and print the capture?

A:  By right-clicking on the TCL window or on a Window form background area, a prompt is displayed asking if the user wants to print the captured screen.

Q:  Can I start a scanning operation from the client?

A:  Yes, from the drop-down menu.

Q:  Can I access Visual e Window applications over the Internet?

A:  Yes, all Visual e applications can be accessed over the Internet with VeIC.

Q:  Can I access character-based applications?

A:  VeIC has a built-in terminal emulator.

Q:  Must I purchase this client separately if I already own Visual e client licenses?

A:  No, the Visual e client license allows the use of VeIC.

Q:  What kind of response time can I expect over the Internet?

A:  Normal 28.8 modem connections give the same response as character-based terminals.

Q:  Will the client replace my AccuTerm or Wintegrate terminal emulators or must I run both?

A:  Extensive development work has been done to perform the same terminal emulation functions as the products mentioned, so running both is not necessary.
