Visual e Faxing

(optional module)

With the Visual e Faxing module, there is no need to take manual steps to fax information from your multivalue database system. Usually, faxing information from a multivalue database system is handled through manual administration efforts by first making a copy of what needs to be sent and then faxing these copies to the recipient. Using the Visual e Internet Client, this process is made transparent for any user.

System Requirements

The Visual e Faxing module requires that the Visual e Internet Client be running on a Windows 2000 or later release.  Access to a modem on the client machine, network, or modem pool is also necessary.

Programming

A sample faxing application program is given to provide the programmer with the necessary information to set up a specific faxing function.  This generic program basically mimics the standard faxing programs available today.  However, with the Visual e Faxing module, programmers can custom create programs to meet application needs.

For example, in our Proof of Delivery System, the ability to send a note, along with a copy of the scanned bill of lading document, is made available at the user's request.  The process is very easy to program and only requires filling in the parameters of the faxing subroutine module.  Low level coding is not necessary.  To speed up application development, it is recommended that the programmer use the Visual Application Development System.
